Californians handled their opponent

In Major League Baseball (MLB), the season has come to an end. The Los Angeles Dodgers, who defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in the final series, were the champions.

In the deciding game, the Californians handled their opponent 3-1 and won the series, 4-2.

This is the seventh triumph in Dodgers history, before that the team from Los Angeles won the World Series in 1955, 1959, 1963, 1965, 1981 and 1988.

Dave Roberts’ team finished in first place in its division, then handled the Milwaukee Brewers (2-0), San Diego Padres (3-0) and Atlanta Braves (4-3) during the playoffs in addition to Tampa.

Due to the pandemic, the MLB season went through a truncated format. League executives reduced the number of regular-season games.
