  Each team will play five (5) games guarantee

  • Games begin Wednesday, January 2, 2013
  • All players must use Wood or Wood Composite bats With no Metal
  • Games will have a one hour and fifty minutes time limit (Except Championship Game)
  • Teams will take a pre-game infield/outfield first game only 15 min. max. each team
  • 14 under tournament 14 & 13 year old qualify (can't be 15 before March 1, 2013)
  • 25 player’s maximum per roster.
  • World Championship team will receive 18 STX Custom Gloves (With TBL Logo)
  • 1st & 2nd place awards
  • Top 5 players of the tournament will receive rings
  • Exhibition Showcase on the 1st day with homerun derby
  • All teams are required to stay at the host hotel. Check our website for more info!

COST:          Each Team Is Responsible For Paying $995.00 Entry Fee.

RSVP:           PRE-REGISTRATION IS MANDATORY PRIOR TO THE TOURNAMENT (Deposit is required to reserve your spot of $300.00 and payment needs to be paid in full by November 2, 2012)

 

RULES

Tournament Rules

 

- ALL teams will play a minimum of four (5) games and could play a maximum of nine (9) games.

 

-High School National Federation Safety rules will be enforced. Playing rules are High School National Federation Rules with Local modifications.

 

- Games shall be seven (7) innings in length. If a team is losing by 10 or more runs after having batted in at least five innings, the game is ended at that point.

 

- No new inning shall commence after one hours and fifty minutes of game play.

 

- In the championship rounds of semifinals and finals, every effort within reason will be made to complete games to a full seven (7) innings if weather should interfere.

 

-  Pitching limits –Pitchers 10 innings max for the week. (If the pitcher throws more than 10 innings the game is forfeit). Keep in mind that if your team qualifies to the next round they will play on Monday which starts a whole new week (But please use common sense!)

 

- You may utilize the (EH) extra hitter in your lineup.

 

- Courtesy runner for both the pitcher and the catcher may be used at any time. Courtesy runner has to be someone not presently in the line-up. The same player cannot run for both the pitcher and catcher in the same inning.

 

- Clean out your dugout immediately after your game is complete.

 

-  Baseball is provided by Baseball Legends but you must PLEASE have your players and parents chase foul balls.

 

- NO SOFT TOSS into fencing. Minor League Batting Cages are open for your use.

 

- Game recap sheets will be provided in your Coach Packet. Please turn in after each game to Tournament Staff.

 

- Any participant (player, coach, spectator, etc.) ejected from a game shall have the circumstances of his/her ejection reviewed by the Tournament Director, Site Supervisor, and Chief Umpire. A decision will then be made what additional penalty, if any, shall be applied to that person. The additional penalty may include suspension from a subsequent game(s) or suspension from the tournament all together.

 

- ALL teams must provide liability insurance for their team.

 

Tournament Format (Based on 9 participating teams per group total of 18 teams 2 groups)

Round Robin Play:

 

- Teams divided into one pool

 

- Each team will play four round robin games

 

- After round robin play, The Best Records teams for each group plays In the Following Games

  • 1st – 4th Place of each group pass to the first round of single game elimination

 

Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals, Champion Game: look at the schedule to see in what bracket your team is placed

 

Tie-Breaker Rules (for seeding purposes; in order of use or playoff best loser)

 

1. Win-loss record 2. Head -to-Head 3. Run differential (overall) 4. Runs allowed (overall) 5. Runs scored (overall) 6. Coin flip

 

Tournament Mission

 

1. To provide a substantial number of games for each team within a balanced schedule.

 

2. To allow a competitive tournament format with opportunities to advance within the tournament.

 

3. To provide a pleasant and exciting baseball tournament while allowing for social activities within the area.

 

4. To develop the tournament into an exciting annual event that teams from all across the USA work toward throughout the year.

  

EXTRA- INNINGS RULE

 

If the games remains tied after the completion (seven innings of regulation play or expired time limit), the seventh (7th) inning; the following procedures will be implemented during the subsequent extra innings.

  • Each team will begin the 8th inning; (and any subsequent necessary extra innings) with a player on first ,second bases and third base, no outs.
  • The Managers of both teams "Shall report to the Home Plate Umpire" and indicate (at the same time). The last batter in the prior inning when the last out was made with the ball put in play needs to be placed at 1st base. The batter before him will be placed at 2nd base and the batter before him goes to 3rd. The batter that will come to bat will be the person that was on deck (the batter that was after the person that made that last out batting.)
  • Once those Players/Runners have been selected for 8th inning, the batting order of any subsequent innings will be determined by how the previous innings ended. That is, if the 8th inning ends with the #6 hitter having the last (PA), plate appearance. Now the 9th inning will begin with the #7 hitter at bat, and the #4 hitter at 3nd base, the #5 hitter at 2nd base and the #6 hitter at 1st.
  • In conjunction with beginning of EXTRA INNINGS with base runners placed at 1st, 2nd,and 3rd bases. The inning will start with no outs. All other "Official Rules of Baseball" per the TBL rule book will remain in effect during all extra innings required to determine a winner.
  •  No re-entry is permitted during extra innings.
